Somewhere on this forum I saw a website or member who can tweak a Hering chromatic. I have a Baritone C Chromatic 12 hole and have had it for about 3 years... It is sweet except for hole 10 Blow(No button) . I hate it when I hit that hole as it is soooo Flaaaat. Can anyone point me to somone here in the US that can help me?

I think you may be refering to Dave Payne, former owner of Elk River Harmonicas. Dave had become the US repair tech for Hering harmonicas, but now that he has joined on to the Harrison Harmonica team, I doubt he is still doing that type of work. There are a number of sources online that can show you how to retune the reed(as long as it's not completely blown out), but if you don't think you can do it, or you're worried you might mess it up, I'm sure there are a number of other people that could do the work for you. You may want to try emailing Dave Payne and ask if he has any suggestions of who could help you.

Go to Slidemeister.com because tho it is a site devoted to chromatic harp, there are a few customizers on that site you can find out about.
Too bad the one guy that was the only authorized repair guy for them for years, John Infande, is no longer doing that, and he was an awesome customizer for chromatics. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

If the reed isn't cracked just file the end to bring up the pitch. Look in youtube or in the harpl archives on how to do it.
