I've been taking piano lessons for almost a year and I don't know why I hadn't heard of Ronnie Barron before.

Talk about doing it for real. He's literally just messing around on someone's keyboard. Vocally, he covers more than three octaves (granted he is using his falsetto, but it works). I am in awe...

Funky soulful verve! Obvious harp content: He performed it with Butterfield's Better Days and Wade sings it too with two harps blowing through it via Hazmat Modine. Still this is it at it's purest...Thanks. d

arzajac - you probably know this but Ronnie Barron used to work a lot with Mac Rebennack back in the 60s - I remember reading somewhere that Mac originally concieved that Ronnie would take the "Dr John" psychedelic-voodoo persona.

great stuff. ronnie's tenure w/ better days I thought was butter's most creative and interesting period, souful gumbo of grooves.

live @winterland is a great testament to better days and ronnie does an awesome version of broke my baby's heart on it.

I saw these guys play in 1975 @ New England Blues Fest, just brilliant.
