As a harp player, this ranks as one of my greatest harp related days.
1. I went to a happy hour show at a local club and saw one of the best blues shows I've seen in a while. RJ Mischo on harp, Paul Bryant and Jeremy Johnson on guitars.
2. Got to meet and talk with Dave Bernsten, a great harp player from Tulsa, and super nice guy (He and RJ traded riffs on Juke)
3. Ran into a harp player, John Popper from Eureka Springs, (Not THE John Popper but good harp player none the less) and he GAVE me a new, old stock MC 151. I was introduced to him once in the past, and we talked a bit last week at a show and the guy GIVES me an element. Of course I ran right home, popped it in and it seems like a nice, hot crystal.
I'm living the high life!

RJ is a great player and a fabulous guy. He's one of the most under appreciated guys around. His tone is beautiful.

Sounds like a great night, Scott! RJ will be here in New Orleans next week on Wednesday and Thursday, playing two shows with Johnny Sansone. ----------

Todd, You have got to go see them at all cost. If you aren't familiar with RJ you're in for a treat. He's bringing Jeremy Johnson down there with him. Jeremy is an old friend of his from Minnesota and he really seemed to bring out the best in RJ last night. Don't miss that show and tell all your friends, it'll be a great show!
