I seem to remember that there was some interest some time ago... was it you nacoran? Well, here you have it. The flashiest harp of the world! :)

There are some pictures and instructions here. Unfortunately only in german.

Edit: It is of course not 'blinking' but 'glowing'... but I'm sure you could make it blink just as well.

Nice. I really like that it was a dream and he finally accomplished it. You can see how excited he is.

Okay. Now, make it change colors depending on whether or not you are blowing or drawing.

I want mine to react to the note tones that I'm playing like a mood ring.

Cool! Awesome find. Yeah, I wanted to put light in hooked to a tuner so they changed based on the notes but that's really cool. Turbo Harp has some little tabs that you can put on your harp with the key name on it that light up, but nothing like this. I really want one now.

Jodan- The Cylons had the red light first.

Hi folks,
here is Mario, I`m back again :-)
Thanks germanharpist for posting my video, I just wanna tell you that I forget to put a link here. Shame on me.

The Firefly - I own three of them and all are unique. It is much work to build one of them. You have to cut a piece out of the comb. So: if you want to build something to put on this or that harp your harmonica would look like a big chromatic and thats would not work. You can not play well when something is between you and the harp.

The other question is the lightning. I`m not sure ift it is possible to create lights which react when you blow or draw.
The KITT Lightning would be nice, too, but I prefer the color changing. What else do you need ?

I don`t build these harps, but I can ask my good friend Karl-Georg how much it would cost to build one of them. I will posts the results in a few days.

Okay, please let me know if there s something you need. Leave a comment on my blog or on my youtube chanel.

Thanks Greetings from Münster

Mario- That Firefly is really cool. There is a company, I don't remember the name, that will print circuit boards to order. I think it's $500 to prototype but then they are much cheaper after that. If there are multiple bulbs it probably wouldn't be too hard to wire them to a computer control, that could adjust the colors however you wanted it (by pitch, by chord, with the beat, flashing in patterns) but that would be a lot of work.

What you have looks really cool. What I was thinking when I posted on your YouTube thread was that if you had two strips of lights on a clip, with a gap so they don't block the sound, you might be able to swap it from harp to harp. I don't know if that would look the same from the audience. The light would come from the back of the harp instead of inside though, so it might not look as cool.

Really cool.
