Anyone using one of these regularly. I have heard the clips on Youtube. To me every mic I hear on Youtube sounds good. Is has alot to do with the amp. Any way just curious of the pros and cons of this style mic.

The Commando is an OK mic. It has OK tone. If that sounds like damning with faint praise, that's because it is. It has cool vintage mojo but it can't hold a candle to the CM elements found in bullets of the same era. (Yes it has a CM element but it is much smaller.)
And I agree with you - despite so many "listen to this" videos on Youtube for amps and mics, you really can't hear a meaningful difference - certainly not between 2 videos done by different players with different recording setups. And you can't tell how loud an amp is. That's why little old amps like Kalamazoo's are so great for recording, but not so much for gigging. ---------- /Greg

I agree with Greg. Having owned a few commandos I will say that they can have a real nice honk and grind to them. However when you play one alongside a regular sized CM, you can easily tell that there is a little less robustness to the mic. As a second or third mic, they are pretty cool. I have also found them to be excellent vocal mics.
