After spending a couple of hours adjusting the harps to play the way I want it to play , throwing away a harp just because a reed died was not an option , so I had to learn replacing them .The whole experience was a success , future harp costs ....around $3 .

I used , the bolt and nut method .

In this photo is the 4 blow of a C harp , I've used a 0-80 1/8" brass bolt .

this is 4 draw of a Bb , with a 00-90 bolt from a glass repair kit , both harps are Sp20 .

Very nice! Did you buy new reeds or did you scrounge them from junkers? I know what you mean-I have an "A" Blues harp that I tweaked more by luck than anything and it really played great. Now 5 draw is tired.Hate to ditch the whole thing for 1 reed.
