Hey John...that's a great post. I'd never heard either version of this song and they are both great. I really love the chord progression in it (if that's the right term).

Here's a real favorite of mine from my old punk days.

Not Blues but I fucking love this DK version

Yeah, I like both of those covers, and I would say that the quality they both share is that they are both interpretive rather than rote covers, and in my opinion stand on their own as unique, which me likey a lot.

Many versions of this song don't have any Harp, some do. I play this sitting in with a local group.....it is one of my favorites...

How did I forget Hurt! Actually I like the Sad Kermit version best though, if just for the Kermit the Frog sex scenes.

This is a cover of benny goodman style tune, but I think he makes it even better. It is even sweeter and jumpy than Benny.
