Great tune,I havn,t heard that one but have been listening to alot of Treat Her Right in the last couple of weeks after pulling out one of there older ones after a cd inventory,800 and counting.I really dig they,re sound its got its own groove.Jim Fitting is a great harper, the slide work is great, cocktail drum(love them too),and that bad ass bass that Sandman played was the shit.If anybody hasn,t heard these guys check them out.Its different from the norm, but it definitely grows on you.I,ve mentioned these guys before on here and if you want to hear harp played with a different style check them out.I,m definitely in for that boxed set especially the DVD,since I never had a chance to check them out when they were together and before Marks death while performing with Morphine, although they replaced harp with sax. Thanks for the turn on.
Treat Her Right has been one of my favorite bands for years! I love their mix of traditional, traditional blues, and rock all stirred up to make a groove like no other! @phogi, I'm glad you posted this! I've always wondered what happened to Sandman and Fitting after the band broke up!I just never followed through on it. I love Jim's harpwork! The best word to describe Jim's playing with Treat Her Right, HAUNTING!........... ---------- The best harmonica one can own, is the one you love to spit on! -- Iggy
After the demise of Treat Her Right, Fitting joined The The for their Hanky Panky album. He then returned to Boston and formed The Coots with local musicians and released two great harmonica-heavy discs. The last I heard he was playing folk music with Session Americana (I haven't heard any of their music yet).
