Adam, what top 20 blues tunes should every serious player learn? Particularly in reference to jams.

Hi Bro thats a big ask,
jam nights are iffy every one plays the well known tunes.

Got my Mojo working
Road house blue
Gypsy women

all the favorites what happens when punters have sung all the songs you know,ya stuffed got nothing left to play.

then you have to know the guys that run the show, they don't know you,
haven't heard you play, they might give you a break let you do 1 song,

Make it a good song play your best but pratice that song, if your shit they might just not let you up again,so pick your best song play it well,

what i did was go and hang out at my Local Jam sessions and listened to the Players what songs they played or sung,

then i picked other not so popular songs to sing not obscure ones,i practised them well then when i did get a foot in the door,

i played my best two songs then got the ?uck of the stage, saved my other songs for another night,

after a while the House bands got to know me and i gerneraly get to play 4 or 5 songs now,

so pick them songs wisely practise them and keep hitting Jam sessions to get known,

after a while you will just walk in the door and be asked by the Bro's you Playing tonight,

so Bro hang out at your local Jams pick songs no one else is doing, they don't have to be obscure songs

just the less popular songs people reconise like Little Red Rooster,
no one does that at any jams i go to,give it your best shot and see how it pans out but keep going back hang out get known..
