Hi All: All you pure harp players have been inspiring me to take the harp off the rack and hold it in my hands more. I have the drums on my feet, singing and holding the harp. Here are three from tonight

Hi Kyzer: Thanks! I love holding the harp in my hands. I went to the rack because I started playing guitar in my trio back about 1983. Having the drums on my feet makes for a good backbeat, but my favorite way to play harp still is and probably always will be all by itself, unamplified. Walter

If I had a reason to try a rack I certainly would put my harp in one...I just dont have the time or devotion to put into learning something new, especially when I feel I have so very far to go on this lil tin sandwich...keep it up walter, taking a break from the norm is a good way to stretch those wings, eh? ---------- Kyzer's Travels

I never thought I would play harp on a rack but after getting frustrated over and over with waiting for a guitar player/band rehearsal/gig, I got one. I wanted to play about 10-15 hours a day for my first 5-7 years of playing and I got wanted desperately to hear a guitar. The problem was I was lucky to find anyone wanting to play for an hour a day so I played that harp for all those hours until I finally came into a guitar. First I had to learn the guitar, and all this need to play 24/7 has resulted in becoming a 1 man band. I could never fathom getting people together again to play. It is way to much energy spent on frustration... Walter ---------- walter tore's spontobeat - a real one man band and over 1 million spontaneously created songs and growing.
