Does anyone else find one hole tongue blocking to be the most difficult? I find two and three hole tongue blocking much easier than one hole. Maybe I just have a fat tongue!

I turn the tip of my tongue sideways for single hole blocks, then back to flat for other blocks.

Now the word “Tongue” is looking weird to me.
“Tung” . . .

To block only one hole, I use the underside of my tongue, as the cord-like muscle that runs along the underside is perfect for blocking a single hole. The tip of my tongue goes above the hole when I do this. I find this much more comfortable than turning my tongue sideways, and it allows me to move between several sizes of tongue block with minimal changes in tongue position. ---------- Harmonica lessons with one of the world's foremost experts Check out my blog and other goodies at winslowyerxa.com Harmonica For Dummies, Second Edition with tons of new stuff

Interesting Winslow... my frenulum isn't very pronounced. There is no way it would reach a hole. That may be why I'm able to twist my tongue though.
My friend has a really pronounced frenulum. He nearly failed his language classes in college because he couldn't roll his R's. His doctor told him that his was so pronounced that he was technically 'tongue tied'(Ankyloglossia).
