Received my preorder of Jason Ricci's new album, Jason Ricci and The Bad Kind "Behind the Veil"
It's really good. Sometimes there is a trade-off when buying harmonica forward albums, where maybe you don't love all of it so much, but at least appreciate the harmonica playing. Not in this case. It's just really good.
Obviously that's just my opinion, and everyone's tastes are different. But I'm pretty sure that I am right, and it's a really good album.

I have been listening to this as well. I really like it.
I have also been listening to some of Herb Alpert's more recent albums and I see a similarity between the two artists. Both are best known for their skill on a particular instrument, and they also posses the ability to create music that is just really enjoyable to listen to and seems to have an impact beyond just virtuosity on an instrument. I wonder if some day a university might have a Jason Ricci school of music.
