I got some LOs as part of a batch sale recently (and somewhere I have a 19 reeder around as well).
Is there anything like the guide that is floating around for Hohner that tells what other reeds will work for LOs? Is there a key in particular that would have most of those reeds?
I haven't even cleaned all of them yet. I have a couple Gs, an A, a couple Ds, and a C (I think... it's not labeled on both ends, which means it's on a replacement comb, so it actually could be anything). I know I have an old C or A around here with 19 good reeds).
I was hoping to play around with some alternate tunings on them. I know reed layout isn't as simple as finding a reed that's the same note though. I don't want to part with all of them, but if we could work out a couple reed plates to maximize the harvest I could part with them cheap.

Pat missin site has a txt document that details the dimensions of a lot of harp slots. I repaired a Hohner 365 using Lee Oskar reeds a couple of times, because it was hard to find reeds for the 365. Someone said they were same as MS reeds, someone else suggested 270 reeds would fit. I found neither of those things are true, but a Lee Oskar was the right width and just needed a slight trim at the end.
Repairing a LO can be a little tricky as the rivets are a slightly larger bore than the typical Hohner. It’s good if you can use an original rivet but those are sometimes a little hard to get on with. A 1.4M screw works pretty good iirc.
The alternative reeds won’t fit unless they’re for slot 6. I don’t recall if LO have different slot templates for different keys; I think they’re all the same, so you need a 6 slot reed. Can tune them up or down a bit. Down is a bit easier in my book but you can probably tune a whole tone up with care.
I reckon I might have some of those reeds but postage from Australia might take a little while. Can have a look if you like?
