I’ve got a bunch of extra harps I want to sell on eBay. Several good but low cost Easttop, some Suzuki Harpmasters (one with a BM custom comb) and a Seydel Blues Session. My question is do I sell them separately, bundle the Easttop and Suzukis or bundle by key (e.g. I’ve got 4 Cs, 3Gs, 2As and 2Es). I’ve got 3 new Easttop and all the rest are used. What’s worked best for you all?

I don't think bundling them by key would work... I know when I buy harps I am more likely to buy one for a key I need and I wouldn't want to take a key I need and turn it into a super surplus. I haven't sold anything on ebay but I've bought some stuff. Personally, I'd be more likely to buy a set with one of each key, but that's just me.

I'd peruse the vintage harp section on ebay to get an idea of the price range. I usually tell people to aim for 20-25% of the original cost.

Another option would be to post on FB. (The two don't have to be mutually exclusive, you could link to the auction). On FB you could just post the group of them with or without a minimum and see what people are willing to offer for what. I've noticed that harps seem to sell fairly quickly there if they are priced reasonably. (I'd value the one with the BM comb much higher, maybe add 1/2 the comb cost- but maybe call it a Blue Moon comb, not a BM comb!)

I think selling them on FB is probably more versatile, since you can split them up however people want them. We are up over 80k members on MBH over there now. Just let us know it's you.

Just make a post. If no one offers what you think is fair you can sell them on ebay. :)

I don't know anything about facebook but when I buy from e-bay I always look for individual harps. Usually I look first at places where I have bought before esp for new harps.

Sometimes I do browse for older or unusual harps though.
