Continuing my chromatic diary...my band wanted to try Midnight Hour and I wanted to try playing one of the horn lines on chromatic (amped). I was sceptical but, broadly it worked. Everyone said so - under close interrogation.
Specifically I had to spend time practicing to play sharp-edged hits rather than my default softer breathy-sax type of articulation.
Still not totally convinced, but it's looking promising.
