Just watched a video with Brendon Power about his Paddy Richter tuning where the three blow is changed to what would be the three bend full note with the standard Richter tuning, I think I have this right. Anyway, it makes a lot of sense. I'm mostly interested in melodies, ballads, country and folk at this point. But I've only (at RockinRons) found Paddy Rochter tuned harps by Seydel and they're expensive.
This facilitates easier and faster playing in third position as well as something interesting in 12th position with the five draw which I barely understand but fascinated.

No reason why not. You don't really give much up and you gain ease and a smooth note. It is great for many melodies. I like it. Easy to make your own too. Fourkey is cool too, even more chromatic, 4 keys without bending and 2 pentatonic scales in a single breath, but you lose the chords and range. I just got one a month or so back and really like it. I think I am going to focus on it for a while and try everything from blues to Celtic to Jazz with it. Seydel will make you one, you can also try Gnarley the tunemeister, he seems to have made and played about every possibility out there and really knows his stuff. There are lots of cool useful tunings. None are perfect as far as I know , and most have something to offer. Experimenting is fun.

Don't forget bebop ! I really like it on a chrome, I might retune a solo tuned diatonic to bebop some day to try that out.

How about 16:35, he is a Seydel dealer and factory service set up for their harps.

16:35 does good work, and is quick. Shoot him an email if you want one from them. He does Seydels and does a nice job, but only works with and on Seydel as far as I know Gnarley will work on anything, and has tried more tunings than most of us know exist. I know from personal experience that he can make some nice playing Manjis ( he does some nice work on Chromatics too). He will work on your harps if you mail them to him.

I find a lot of references to Gnarly but don't know which or where. Could this person take my three Manji's, convert them to Paddy Richter and tweet the reeds to generally play better, I've don a bunch of messing with them (gently) and maybe made the D harmonica worse and the 7,8,9,10 on the C harp could be better.

he has an email listed in his user profile. He has been posting in a Chromatic thread on the other site. Click his name and it will take you right to it.
