I've been listening to a song and watching the video over and over, I'm playing, trying to do it some justice with my Low D harp but I must learn to play this in a way it can make a room go silent. Origionally released by Simon and Garfunkle in 1964 when I was twenty years old, as I remember the war in Viet Nam was getting strong and we were in the throes of questioning everything as the term hippie was used to described people of consciousness. Now Disturbed brings this song back so powerfully and it makes me feel as if we learned and as if we didn't learn anything, but I'm working it on my harp to find a way that The Sound Of Silence can be repeated in my own little way, with my harmonica. It's a big call to hope for that much feeling from a beginner but like always, "it's the journey". Google Disturbed, The Sound Of Silence. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aN8wSwmqjpk

That is one of my favorites too. I was working on it on the Chromatic a while back before I had to quit playing for a bit. It is time to get back on it and try it on the short harp too. I just gave it a run through and it wasn't too bad. It's a beautiful tune, I'd like to hear one of the better players give it a run through. Only one of my dogs ran away, one cried, one went in the closet and one stayed in the room! I think that makes it the most popular song I've worked on in a while. The wife and kids are out visiting so I can play loud and in the open today.

Hahaha, thanks. I was taking care of my friends cats and most of the week there, I practiced a lot on my harmonicas. Two of the cats hung around but for one of them, he ran out of the room every time I started playing.
