A friend built a Valvecaster and he moded for harp (= a lot less gain) and this is me playing whit it. Whit slaps and puls, then whit clear single notes.

Sounds alright to me but in isolation i cant say how it compares to anything else. I preferred the 1st setting but i understand the second one has a certain edge...a bit bright and ‘teeth on edge’ for me though
I am really convince that one can make this design and make it even more harpfriendly.
For me, it lacks a little in the low mids for some fatness, and it is still to much gain. Also, for some reason the less gain you have less high end there is. If you turn the gain up, there is the treble!
This could be a nice project for the harp community. Is not that hard to do, is just soldering, there is no board, and the part are cheap also.

I liked the sound the 1st 26 sec. After that not so much.
Still to my way of thinking both are okay. Thinking it's all about the note selections that will make a tune sink or swim. good luck with all
