Big Nancy Swarbrick is a New Jersey based blues, rock and funk harmonica player who has been playing and recording for over thirty years. Debbie Davies, former Albert Collins guitarist writes, "(Big) Nancy is one of the rare breed of really good female harp players. She has toured in the past with lots of big names, and garnered a lot of respect. There's no fluff here; this a real deep blues harp player." The list of blues and rock luminaries that she has appeared with includes Willie Dixon, Little Milton, Taj Mahal, Pine Top Perkins, Ronnie Earl, Honey Boy Edwards, Katie Webster, Gatemouth Brown, Sammy Price, Johnny Copeland, Clarence Clemons, Stanley Jordan, David Johansen, John Cafferty, and Southside Johnny. Nancy has recorded with her band Supreme Court, with BB and the Stingers and the title cut on Bernie Worrell’s Baby Elephant CD entitled “Turn My Teeth Up”. ===== These are some unfinished, one take studio clips that a member hipped me to. I usually play through an unvarnished Peavy PA head with a Shure sm57... but here I was using the 57 with a boutique amp that resembles a Trainwreck amp. It is called a Shammrock, they are made in New Jersey by Frank O'Hearn and I highly recommend them if anyone is looking for a very high end amp.
