I've played harmonica on-and-off since I won one out of a claw machine at a local fair in the '90s. I'm a piano player first, and also play guitar and dulcimer.
Professionally, I've worked as a furniture maker and theatre artist.
In mid-2024 I fell down the harmonica rabbit hole. I had a couple decent ones lying around already, but bought 2 new harps in different models and keys to try them out. And I'm hooked.
Since then I've bought a bunch of older used harps off eBay and have been trying my hand at repairing, tuning, gapping, etc. I enjoy the fun of tinkering with them.
I'm experimenting with developing a wooden comb with recessed reed plates.
