Believe it or not older solid state amps can sound pretty awesome for harp. This one is no exception. 10in speaker. Trem. Reverb. Three channels. the amps sounds REALLY good for harp. Lots of nasty drive. For harp it sounds about like a 10 watt amp. Pretty loud. Not in bad shape. Reverb sounds great and so does the tremelo. Made in USA by Multivox. Picked this up in VA while with family and was very pleased with it's sound. bigtone1@yahoo.com

Acquired a vintage JT30 this week. Element was shot so I installed a Shure CM99B86 element in it. Fine raspy tone, not super hot, about the same as my CM99A86 in another mic, about what I expected. I have no way to test it, but would guess it was a shade shy of 1K. Working fine, found a good gasket, should make a nice harp mic. Paint isn't great, a few scuffs here and there, not all scratched up though, I've seen far worse. Grill is pitted but chrome doesn't look too bad. The single pin connector works fine but wiggles a tad. Might need to find a way to tighten it in the future. sold

This is no doubt a monster harp amp. I have always loved a good 50's gibson for guitar or harp. This one sounds fantastic and is all original besides a couple caps. No hum really and runs great. The tone through the original tubes and speaker is awesome. $800 shipped OBO Partial trades possible on old crap. 865-237-8581 bigtone1@yahoo.com. Gotta make room and money for this monster supro I just got which will need alot of work. Will take payments also and amp will ship when paid.
This is a real clean example of the dano model. I have had many of these and this one by far is the best. The tone is SICK!! The amp is all original and in very nice condition. Original 12in speaker. Dual 6v6's and this amp is a strong 15 watt harp amp. The tone is that of a Gibson GA20 but with a little more headroom which allows you to crank it and get more volume and a good honkin sound. The amp has basically no hum at all. Does have original 2 prong still. I don't sell amps that sound like crap on the forum and ever amp I have sold on here people have always loved them. Trust me when I say this amp is a killer. It sounds like my little Masco mc10 but in a combo. Call me 865-237-8581 or email me bigtone1@yahoo.com

This is a pretty rare little amp. I have seen many Newcomb PA heads but never a combo. This one has cool tweed cabinet and has good honest wear. The amp has been fully serviced besides the tone/on/off pot has a spot in it that cuts off from like 6 to 6.5 on the volume. but comes back on after that. The amp has a 12in speaker. I hooked it up to a new weber and it literally got 3 times louder. The alnico that is in it is original but just very weak. The amp sounds killer has some real nasty rippin harp tone. Solid wood cabinet. Cool metal handle and chassis is painted hammertone. Moving to CALI so need to sell to have room for the stuff. This is a killer little 18 watter. Use your favorite speaker and it will be a beast for you. Please call 865-237-8581 or email bigtone1@yahoo.com
Bogen CHB35A 35W PA head & closed-back speaker cabinet with Weber Vintage 12A150-0 12" alnico rated at 50W and 16 ohms. Gold Hotdog color.
The amp has been modded by Dave Wren to use 12??7 preamp tubes instead of a 6EU7. The amp currently has a preamp complement of one 12AU7 and one 12AX7 with a 6C4 phase inverter. The distortion feedback loop has been removed and some higher-value coupling caps were added to attain more bottom end. It has a push-pull pair of vintage 7868 power tubes. Cosmetic condition is in good shape. Also comes with a set of custom covers for both the head and the speaker.
The amp is currently listed on Wren's page since he made all the mods, but it belongs to Craig "Skip" Effress. He's asking $399.00 for the amp and cabinet. Skip can be reached with any inquiries at effress at me dot com. Here's the link to the listing.

My 1962 Premier Twin 8 amp is for Sale - $500 *** SOLD ***
*** SOLD ***
1962 Premier Twin 8, the iconic amp from the heyday of vintage blues harp tone.
This amp is a solid player, not a collector's piece. There are a couple of scuffs on the amp, as you can see.
This bad boy has got some mojo. The circuit has been gone over by ace amp tech Bruce Collins of Mission Amps.
Both speakers have been re-coned, one original and one period correct.
These are legendary amps, and it is time to hand if off to the next player in search of a legend. $500 plus shipping, professionally packed and shipped via UPS.
Rick!!!! I'll be more than happy to give your Premier Twin a good home with lotsa work jammin' up here in Vancouver. See my user info for email. I can get you a shipping address and paypal if required. (Don't ship UPS to canada..USPS please. Much more sane.)

I have a Turner BX shell, painted beautiful metallic blue, with screw-on connector. Element is a Shure CM, Low-Z with Transformer. The mic was done for me by Dennis Oellig, "Mr. Microphone", who did a great job on it. It sounds great and I'm only parting with it because I'm stupid and overspent on some other junk.
I don't know how to upload a photo. if anyone is interested, please email me at William.lifford@gmail.com and I can send pics via my phone.
I can also send sound samples of me playing this mic through a Weber kit 5F2H harp amp. I've got 5 songs played over "Ultimate Blues Jam" jam tracks and they were recorded clearly so you can hear what the mic and amp can do.
I can get my email on my phone, so email is the quickest way to get me. William.lifford@gmail.com

These amps were made by Multivox in New York City, the same factories that produced the legendary Premier Twin 8 amps. It shares some circuit features with the Twin 8, including the single 7591 power tube.
The 7591 in this amp is a vintage Multivox branded tube, almost certainly the original. It checks out good and sounds great, so no need to replace it. The preamp tube is a NOS Westinghouse 12AZ7.
The original speaker had some wear so I replaced it with a re-coned vintage Oaktron alnico speaker from the mid 1950s.
The amp was serviced by Bruce Collins at Mission Amps in Denver:
-Install grounded power cord -Remove the "Death Cap" -Install cathode bypass cap on the power tube. This gave the amp a bit more punch. -Modify the power supply. -Test all tone caps for leakage. Replaced as needed. -Test all circuit voltages. -De-oxidize the tube sockets -install speaker jack -Install line out
The amp produces a bit more than 6 watts at clipping. It sounds amazingly big and warm for an amp with a 6-inch speaker. The small alnico speaker gives it a nice compressed juke joint crunch. When the amp gets warm it puts out that great vintage tube amp smell, too.
I’ve gigged it and it performed flawlessly. However, I sell it as-is and make no warranties. Carry this little less-that-10-pound amp and a cable for the line out and you are ready for anything.
Here is a brief video of the amp playing though a PA via the line out jack.
I’ve had the amp for six months and love it, but it is time to pass it along and move on to the next project.
The price is only $200 plus pro packing and shipping via UPS. Contact me at bluesharpamps@gmail.com

Probably better suited for guitar than harp, According to Skip: " Hello Wendell- That model is actually close to thirty watts and VERY loud, almost as powerful as a tweed Bassman, which would make it bit too much for most players. It could be done, but it would require a ton of work and a lot of modification to get the gain down. I've restored and modded probably 15 model 20s, but they were for guitar use."
Not wishing to hog the FOR SALE section, but there was some discussion on Koch chromatic/slide diatonics so I thought I would offer here. I have a very very nice pre-War Chromonica that is key of (C). It is tuned like a Koch which means standard diatonic in (C) w/slide out and (C#) with slide in.
The harp plays great without some of the leakiness prone to Koch. This one is fully valved. The temperament seems like 7LimitJI which means the 5 draw is tuned down for a sweet chord on that end.
I disassembled it and cleaned it fully as well as lightly sealed the comb and installed 0-80 stainless screws and a cover brace out of 0-80 aluminum standoff.
