LMFAO!!! you are not one to talk about respect! i hope you fall off your stupid little bike an a 18 wheeler runs you over but dosnt kill you, but leaves your paralyzed for the remainder of your pointless life. ----------

As you all know, I train very serious protection dogs. Goggles to block pepper spray and a kevlar vest for knifes and bullets. Many of you have seen the videos, there is no out running him and there is no stopping him unless you happen to have a 12g with a slug and you can nail a moving dog in the head. ---------- "The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." - Joseph Campbell

the eye protection is also to defend against a perp that already has the dog on him. One way to get a dog to release his bite is to eye gouge him. It's not so easy to do with goggles on the dog while the dog is literally eating you alive.

"Buddha...Release the Hounds!!" But didn't because I didn't know if it would be taken the right way (ie: wasn't sure if you were in the mood for a little levity)
Suffice it to say, you've got the full support of the entire modern blues harp community on this (not that you need or asked for it).
That cretin might be the biggest ass I've seen in a while on an internet forum. And that's saying something.

Tsk, that's not a very nice way to talk about someone. Granted, this is someone who's been known for forthright, sometimes stinging criticism, and clearly you took umbrage at that.
But check him out, Chopper - Chris Michalek (aka Buddha). He's the real deal, whatever you think about his feedback. If you stayed around on this forum, you might even have learned something from him.
Edit: And hey, next time you post a complaint under the title "respect", why not practice what you preach?

Principles before personalities...any body know a good turn around riff or maybe a V-IV-I transition riff..Blessed are the Peace Makers..Love & Respect
HOB,i had a 2nd look at it and realised the dog was laughing.mrs C doesn't do laughing. on chopper,i thought he was a bit of a laugh realy.you can't be that f*cked up and be a happy chappy, can you.
I like Christelle Berthon's playing, but when she had a problem on the forum she just said, 'Bye, I'm not coming back.' You can't resolve a problem by just storming off. (Well, I suppose you can, but it doesn't resolve anything. If someone else wants to storm off in support that doesn't help either, especially if maybe the first person overreacted.)
Buddha can be blunt. But there is usually a pearl of wisdom in there too. I'm glad you found people on this forum who weren't as good as you chopper. That must make you feel special, but before you stomp off you might want to consider this. Some people live or die based on praise instead of playing for the sake of creating music. I've never met Christelle, but I've watched her videos. At one point she posted a video were she was very upset and wasn't going to post any more videos ever. Why? Because she finished second in a contest, in Trossingen.
I've heard little pieces back and forth. I don't claim to know the whole argument between Buddha and Christelle, but it raged across a couple different harmonica websites, and when it was here, people tried to calm people down and resolve it. Christelle chose to leave this site. Nobody made her leave.
This site isn't heavily moderated. Mostly people solve their own problems. Threatening violence is not OK though. If you have a problem, talk it out, storm out if you like, but get all the facts and make sure you are storming out for a good reason.
Manky- When Mrs. Codpiece reports you missing, don't worry, we'll send some of Buddha's dogs to look for your body. :)
As some one who has been bitten by two of Buddha's dogs under "friendly" circumstances, I can say unequivocally that if I were Chopper, I would be pissing in my motorcycle boots.
Don't come to Arizona, Chopper. Seriously, don't come here. If Buddha's dogs did bite you, our crazy Sheriff would likely arrest you as an illegal immigrant, and award Chris a medal for catching you.... ---------- ------------------ The magnificent YouTube channel of the internet user known as "isaacullah"
For what it's worth, I'll register my disapproval of chopper's post. Many of us can get a bit heated and silly at times, at least I know I can. But that really was quite unneccesary. I will avoid chopper's threads, if that is the level of debate/comment I can expect to find. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick a.k.a. HarmonicaMick
Isaac...don't you like Sheriff Joe ? I'm not from Arizona but I know about him....he is a legend LOL ! That fella would be in tent city wearin pink scivies!!!

It takes me back. Last night we were talking about snow and survival training at work, since it snowed all night here. There's a guy who was Army ranger trained who works with me now. We have a blast walking down memory lane telling S.E.R.E. stories. My son and I did some tale-swapping over Christmas break. The B52 is a very cool piece of hardware and the guys who fly it do many things not published to train for it. I will also not publish them, but rest assured there is great competence in the air overhead and on the ground when necessary. B-52 rocks!
This is crazy ,, You guys need some weed,,This is about music and I am not feeling any love. Adam please kill this whole thread we been sucking to hard and have not had enough air.. I have pics of B-52 bomb landing 1000 meters away from me in 1969 in Vietnam and that has nothing to do with a peace sign.
---------- Fred HARP (Harmonica Assn 'Round Philly)
duly noted. b52 gone...was meant in a lighthearted manner, but...
EDIT: @fredrider-no, I don't need weed. I'm pretty relaxed and I eat enough food already, plus it would be my luck to get popped for a piss test at work ;-) ---------- ~Todd L. Greene crescentcityharmonicaclub@gmail.com

Im with chopper, I only hope he has the misfortunes to meet me...know why?? I'd show him EXACTLY how inferior my harp skills are to his, and offer to wash his car for free lessons...yeah...thats right! x club deroes motorcycle club 1% low fat milk!!!
side note: my cousin has a english mastiff that would strike fear into the heart of any man by simply a grumble from their belly...Id wager he too would be as much, if not more of a threat than the shephard posted above...

Riiiight.... don't get me started on untrained dogs and people's expectations of them to protect. Very simply, if the dog is not trained it's not going to do shit. Dogs are naturally submissive to humans.
As Isaac has experienced, my dogs see people as rag dolls. It's something you have to train from puppyhood.

Fred, the B-52 is no longer used in that manner....specifically "carpet bombing" as it was termed by the press. That was certainly a bad time and an unfortunate misuse of the weapon system in a war run by politicians instead of Generals.
In the first Iraqi conflict, the unsung B-52 was instrumental to the quick surrender of ground forces for reasons Fred understands better than most. In that case, the usage of the system was appropriate and precise...and unheralded by the press as the B-2 and B-1 kept the politicians and the press happy with pretty Infrared pictures of laser-guided munitions. By that time, I was planning those sorties as an operations cell planner. Our guys were doing the missions that ended the conflict...if we had stayed there the first time, we wouldn't have gone back the second time and would be done with it years ago.
Fred, I apologize if I offended you. I was just noting my favorite airframe and remembering my time in service with it.
I've heard about Sheriff Joe. In fact there was another front page greenlite at Fark the other day about him. He was sending anchovy pizza's to a reporter he didn't like every time the reporter wrote a story about him.
We had a local Sheriff like that once. During a foot chase through some back country he spotted the suspect and fired a few rounds into the air, which cleared out the helicopter support in a hurry.
I agree buddha, but you should see how THIS dog reacts if you show agression towards momma and she doesnt reassure him...my whole head could fit in his mouth for chrissakes....and he weighs more than I do!
Mastiff are cool dogs indeed and they possess a natural defensive instinct. The difference between a dog like than and my Malinois is the Mali has extreme drives - above and beyond what most others dogs have. They have extreme defense drive and extreme prey drive.
A mastiff will leave you alone after about 15ft. The Mali will chase and hunt you down until you are dead or the owner calls off the dog.
Here's a good example of how Malis are when they fight a man. This is a video of the 2006 French Ring trials. It's a test to see how well trained the dog is. I train my dogs in French Ring and Schutzhund.

I don't believe either of these Muppets. Buddha is blowing it way out of proportion. I have met his little herd of Canine Americans. Cute doggies.
Chopper on the other hand is a guy I wouldn't want to mess with. Scary fella. He seems to have an uncanny knack for using marginal literacy to get his intimidating point across in few words. An understated skill to be sure.
Mr Chopper, sir. I doubt if you'll ever be able to raise enough money to get over to the States. But, on the chance that you do, I'd be willing to meet you at either the San Francisco or Los Angeles aiports. Here's my offer: Following our bonding session, I can toss your unconscious ass into the bed of my truck and I will cheerily drive you to Arizona. I know where the Budda and his little housepets live. I'll take you to the house and you can play with the dogs. Or, at least they can have what's left after your long flight.
Just a thought fellas. I hope no-one gave him the login and password to Harpfriends? I didn't but I don't know how many of us pass that sort of information on. We should be careful about who that information is provided to. ----------
In the beginning I promised myself I wouldn't comment. I now find I can't resist. The internet has allowed the lunatic fringe a forum. We all have a choice whether or not to let them into our world. By not engaging them, you deny them power. By the way Chris, that first dog pic is amazing. Pluto *I get to see Curtis Salgado on Saturday night!
Frustrated wannabe musicians are insane. I can't believe there's more from chopper. I'm on 3 other forums, 2 of which consist of mostly teenagers through young adults & they offer each other more respect.
What's really sad is most of the guys that gave me help when I joined pretty much stopped posting. Probably a mix of how crazy this place got & how little really can be discussed about blues harmonica.
If anyone thinks it was someone's fault that Christelle left the forums you're mistaken. You just have to pay attention to how she acts everywhere else to see she's into attention getting negative mind games.
I think the only thing we can do as a whole is when some nut like chopper or stinky88 or someone new says some crap, agree to not respond to them in any way shape or form. They're obviously seeking attention in a negative fashion. They want to bring a fall out in our community we need to be strong & let the pest find another outlet for their crap.

Hey! GH, nice bit of forward thinking there, Thanks. Appreciated by all I'm sure. When it's nearer completion, maybe you could guide us through it and let us know how a YT group would be more secure? ----------
